Robbie Z is a 24-year-old Bulgarian pop artist and songwriter based between London and Sofia, a rising voice making an impact through colourful and unapologetically playful music. Blending pop, rap, and story-driven writing, his music leans into escapism and personality, bringing together pop culture and his own experience to build a sonic output that’s infectious and entirely his own. Across his work, Robbie Z balances sticky melodies with a strong sense of identity, creating songs that feel more like their own characters and scenes than they do traditional pop tracks.
Over the last few years, Robbie Z has earned a stellar reputation for forging music that places fun and self-expression above all else. His releases are driven by energy and imagination, often channelling nostalgic aesthetics while keeping a foot firmly planted in modern production. That balance between past and present has become a vital thread that runs throughout his catalogue, most clearly demonstrated in a run of projects that continue to expand his creative sphere.
Across multiple singles, collaborations and EPs, he’s been going from strength to strength while winning over fans around the world. In 2024, he released his EP Dear Diary which included fan favourite “5 Dollars & a Dream,” a track that gained extensive attention after being featured on a Times Square billboard in New York City. The following year saw Robbie build on his sound further with the release of Anemoia, featuring tracks such as “USELESS COOL KIDZ” and “THE SUN IS LOUD.”
Alongside his recorded output, Robbie Z has also built momentum as a live performer; his first headline show at London’s Tamesis Dock sold out in 2023, setting up performances across key venues including The Troubadour, The Finsbury, FOMO Bar, and Soho Zebrano. These appearances have helped confirm his status as a thrilling presence on stage, translating the playful energy of his recordings into a live setting that continues to draw audiences in. Now, Robbie Z brings us his latest release with his brand new four-track EP titled #YOLO, released on his 24th birthday.

Inspired by the optimism, energy and sense of adventure of the early 2010s, the EP celebrates individuality and the idea of living freely without overthinking perception or judgement. Across its four tracks, he blends nostalgic pop references with cutting edge production, creating a sound that feels at once reflective and forward-facing. The release leans into themes of letting go of self-consciousness and embracing life’s moments with openness, drawing from a specific cultural era, echoing the aesthetics of iPhone 5c selfies, Tumblr-era imagery, neon tones and the pop icons that defined a generation including Miley Cyrus, Iggy Azalea, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Charli XCX.
Kicked off by “Pop Boi, No Saint!” the Ep starts with rhythmic vocalisations as the pulse of synth notes and steady beat form a hypnotic soundscape. Developing with bright piano chords and the snap of rattling beats, the track slips into a colourful alternative pop scene brimming with instantly catchy hooks and grooving rhythms. “2014” lands with punching percussive shots as twangy instrumental plucks glide alongside Robbie’s expressive voice as the track launches into a danceable jam propelled by engaging rhythmic flow and intoxicating vocal performance.
With “B-Day Cake <3,” he casts an uplifting musical experience where the twinkle of bubbling synth elements, crisp percussion and catchy vocal leads al collide to deliver a bright and sugary pop anthem that’s impossible not to love. Rolling with the stab of future bass style synth textures and the flicker of pitched vocal elements, it’s a stunning showcase of Robbie’s creative panache and performance talent, offering a memorable outing that’s grooving, vibrant and original all at once.
Closing the EP with “Galaxy,” the swell of airy synth lines slips into a slick groove of low end energy capped by commanding vocals as the track jumps with driving beats and spacey vocal processing. It’s a thrilling finale that concludes his epic new EP in spectacular fashion, serving up an engrossing slice of exhilarating pop music. Ultimately, #YOLO stands as a celebration of self-expression, joy and creative freedom, capturing Robbie Z at a point where confidence, curiosity and nostalgia all overlap in exciting musical form.
