Over the years, London-based singer-songwriter Mick J Clark has become a cherished figure in the independent music scene, enjoying a career defined by versatility, heartfelt lyrics and a real sense of purpose. Signed to Crocodile Music Records, he’s earned a Grammy nomination, over a million streams on Spotify and chart-topping placements across platforms, an impressive track record that he continues to build on to this day.
Mick’s sound is hard to pin down in the best possible way, his catalogue spans pop, rock, R&B, Latin, dance, country and even heartfelt ballads, all threaded together by thoughtful songwriting and a charming vocal style. Across three albums and three EPs, he’s delivered songs that connect, whether by tugging at the heartstrings, making a statement or simply offering a dose of joy. An artist as adept with a guitar, keyboard or drums as he is behind the mic, Mick’s self-sufficient approach to music creation only adds to the quality of his output.
Often instilled with a social conscience that underpins much of his work, he’s the type of artist who sees music as a means of fostering awareness, sparking dialogue and contributing to a better world. And yet, he also knows when to simply have fun and it’s this delicate balance that makes his discography both engaging and enduring.

Last year, Mick J Clark returned with his latest full-length release Pole Position, a ten-track album that once again showcased his ability to move between various styles. From R&B grooves to country-flecked melodies and stadium-sized rock riffs, the project served up an epic ride through Mick’s wide-ranging musical landscape. Now he shines a spotlight on one of his most playful tracks with the single titled “Anuther Sunny Hulliday,” a breezy, upbeat number originally featured on his 2011 album Notes Two.
The title itself is a reflection of Mick’s character; witty and never without a clever twist. As he explains, the song’s spelling mirrors his vocal delivery; “Hulliday” rather than “Holiday”, with the extra “U” in Anuther and Sunny bringing it all together. It’s a quirky, personal touch that reflects the joy and spontaneity of the song itself. “Anuther Sunny Hulliday” is a celebration of holiday escapism, of planes, boats, sunny adventures and the simple pleasures of getting away.
Propelled by the lively shuffle of pattering drums, warm bass lines and delicate instrumentation, expressive vocal layers give way to Mick’s superb leads as he stitches bright melodic leads into the mellow groove. With catchy hooks, energising rhythm and picture painting lyrics lifted by smooth backing vocalisations, with “Anuther Sunny Hulliday,” Mick J Clark delivers a delightful pop jam that’s guaranteed to put a smile on the face of anyone who hears it.
