Hailing from Riverside in California, Loser Demon are an indie rock band whose music has been taking shape through the most unglamorous of circumstances; four musicians, a small backyard studio and a steadfast desire to chase an idea until something catches fire. Keith handles bass, vocals and production, joined by Zach on guitar and backing vocals, Kyle on guitar and Dan on drums. Together, they’ve spent the last couple of years building a sound that feels at once unique and increasingly assured.
There’s an appealing roughness to the way Loser Demon operate, with their music carrying the energy of late-night sessions where experimentation matters more than perfection. That scrappy approach hasn’t stopped the band from developing a focused identity however and somewhere between the melodic playfulness of 90s alternative rock and the darker energy of early-2000s post punk, they’ve found a space that feels familiar while still offering something entirely new.
The band first unveiled their sound in October 2024 with debut single “Business Days,” marking the beginning of a catalogue that would grow rapidly. “P.S. Don’t Die” followed soon afterwards, before the band’s first EP arrived later that year before they returned in 2025 with a trio of singles, building momentum towards their sophomore EP, EP2.

Now they’ve arrived at another stage in that sonic adventure with EP3, their brand new third EP. Across six tracks, the release captures a snapshot of where Loser Demon currently stand, still energised, still experimenting and still figuring out exactly how far they can take the sound arising from that backyard studio.
Kicking off the EP with “New Year, New Hell,” the twang of guitar notes is met by fuzzy chords while the crash of splashing drums ushers in an upbeat alternative rock scene that rolls with lively energy before simmering down as the vocals enter. With Keith’s smooth vocal delivery gliding above the more restrained verse, the song erupts into an enthralling chorus packed full of infectious melodic leads and surging rock energy. “Roulette” follows with gritty guitar tones, marching drums and expressive vocals, serving up a catchy jam stacked with enveloping guitar layers and pulsing bass notes.
“Expensive Speech” glides with the steady downtempo punch of drums, smokey guitar rhythms and intricate leads as moody vocals hover above while the arrangement shifts with charging energy to lean into an angsty punk-inflected scene. “Doesn’t Feel Like Home Anymore” slows things down with a breezy soundscape of mellow guitar chords and laid back rhythm as compelling vocals spin memorable, pop-tinged lines above, showcasing the range of Loser Demon’s rock music offering.
With “The Tower,” the taps of drum sticks sets up a bouncy groove of pattering drums and slick guitar leads as shifting vocal styles deliver an epic pop rock anthem that’s impossible not to love. Closing the EP with “The Conveyor,” biting lead guitar lines flow alongside Keith’s gentle vocals to lay down a stunning finale that’s melodic, rousing and thoroughly original all at once. For a group that only made its official entrance in late 2024, Loser Demon are fast staking their claim as an essential rock band to have on your radar and we can’t wait to see what their next chapter brings.
