Cash Every Denomination comes from a hip hop tradition where music, hustle and independence have always been intrinsically linked. Born and raised between Washington Heights and Dyckman, Cedric Streeter, better known as C.E.D. or Cash Every Denomination, was surrounded by music for as long as he can remember. At five years old, he was already sitting behind a drum set in his father Dr. Arthur Streeter’s recording studio, beginning a relationship with music that would eventually take him from freestyle sessions and battle stages to record-label ownership and studio experimentation.
Growing up during hip hop’s golden era, C.E.D. absorbed the culture through the radio, particularly the sounds coming from The Kool DJ Red Alert Show and Marley Marl on 107.5 WBLS. Those broadcasts became an early education in the relationship between beats and lyricism, inspiring an artist whose approach would ultimately extend far beyond simply making records. Although he began freestyling for fun during high school, it was at 21 that C.E.D. began recognising the possibilities within his writing. Rhymes became poetry, poetry became songwriting and the vision of an artistic identity began to arise.
His journey took an unexpected turn in 1994 when he moved to Stockholm, following a modelling opportunity and there, he secured a speaking role in a Telia AB commercial before appearing in a featured print advertisement. Back in the USA, however, music remained the constant and C.E.D. immersed himself in the industry from multiple angles, working as an assistant and intern for Oz Music Group and joining the street team at Roc-A-Fella Records. The combination of creativity and business eventually led to one of the most important developments in his career and in November 2004, C.E.D. founded Kaos Records, LLC, becoming its CEO and taking his vision from the performance space into the world of entrepreneurship.

A steadfast independent spirit continues to define Cash Every Denomination to this day and his latest release, “Ingredients of Life (2026 Remix),” revisits a track originally featured on his 2018 EP Hustlers Heaven while revealing how considerably his approach to production has developed since. The remix serves as a statement on the current economic landscape facing the USA, transforming C.E.D.’s observations into a track informed by experimentation and intricate studio work. This time around, he’s embraced AI production tools as another instrument in the creative process, using them to help realise specific sonic ideas while continuing to create the music manually.
Moving the bridge to follow the third verse creates a more expansive dynamic, while C.E.D.’s unusual production method involved listening at high volume to identify spaces and gaps that could be filled. Co-produced with Ace The Beat God, “Ingredients of Life (2026 Remix)” is written by Cedric Streeter and performed by Cash, drawing inspiration from Jay Z, Michael Jackson and Anderson .Paak.
Set up by swirling instrumental textures and vocal vocalisations, the soft pulse of bass maintains a forward motion before the track launches with the rustle of grooving beats and razor-sharp rapped flows. Spinning poignant lyricism via smooth delivery, his vocals roll over the immersive arrangement and engaging hop of the percussion to form a soulful hip hop jam that takes the original version and shines it in a completely new light.
Peppered with stacks of stunning vocal layers and brimming with Cash’s slick vocal work, the 2026 remix of “Ingredients of Life” puts Cash Every Denomination’s lyrical flair and performance panache on full display. From Washington Heights to Stockholm, from battle stages to boardrooms and now into an increasingly experimental studio environment, C.E.D.’s story has always been about movement and “Ingredients of Life (2026 Remix)” simply represents the latest chapter in a career built on curiosity, independence and the enduring belief that there’s always another way to approach creativity.
