Hailing from Melbourne, Michele Braid Topcu, also known as Miss Grey, brings more than 25 years of experience across the music and art industries to a thoroughly captivating solo identity. A seasoned dark orchestral pop singer-songwriter and performer, Michele has built a career informed by music, dance, performance, artwork and photography, moving between the worlds of chart-topping dance music, Parisian nightlife, television and stadium performance. That history now feeds directly into an artistic world that’s darker, more cinematic and increasingly her own.
Michele’s entertainment background is as expansive as the persona she is developing; she was previously a member of German dance group Fragma, while also working as a professional dancer and head showgirl at Paris’ Pink Paradise, the legendary club owned by DJ and promoter David Guetta. Her career has taken her onto television and world-renowned stadium stages, while her connection to dance anthems such as “Toca’s Miracle” places her within a history of high-energy performance and international entertainment.
The visual dimension of Michele’s work has always been equally important and by frawing on her experience in entertainment alongside her artwork and photography, she’s developed a unique output that allows different creative disciplines to feed into one another. Music becomes part of a wider aesthetic, performance becomes another form of storytelling and the image surrounding a song can be just as important as the sound itself. Since stepping out under her own name in 2021 with a cover of “These Boots Are Made For Walking,” Michele has followed with multiple singles, mapping out an identity that moves beyond her previous experiences and towards a more individual artistic statement.

Her latest release titled “Miss Grey” now takes that transformation further, introducing a darker and highly cinematic anthem built around the contrasts between softness and strength, emotion and absolute control, submission and dominance. By not presenting these ideas as simple opposites, Michele allows them to exist alongside one another, creating a character who can occupy several spaces at once, resulting a song that’s theatrical while remaining tethered to real experience. “Miss Grey” embraces seduction without allowing it to become its only language, using the darker atmosphere to explore questions of agency and identity.
Leaning fully in to her alter ego, the track becomes a vehicle for stepping beyond artificial categories while offering a recognition that power isn’t always obvious and vulnerability doesn’t necessarily mean weakness. “Miss Grey” takes that context and spins it into a brooding scene of dark pop music that builds with the march of pulsing drums as gritty synth textures usher in her moody vocal layers. Flowing with stuttered instrumental lines and cut with intoxicating melodic leads, the track crafts a gripping listening experience that’s infectious, haunting and invigorating all at once.
Catchy and danceable throughout, it’s an epic showcase of her engaging songwriting and enthralling performance talent, delivery a truly absorbing soundscape unlike any other. After more than two decades spent moving through music, dance and visual art, Michele Braid Topcu is now making an impact with a sound that draws all those experiences together. “Miss Grey” feels like another step into that world; cinematic, seductive and uncompromising but ultimately concerned with something much more human. It’s an exploration of what happens when an artist stops accepting predefined ideas of strength and instead chooses to define power in her own way.
