Since making her entrance in 2018, UK-based singer-songwriter TaniA Kyllikki has been making an impact with a sound built around emotional honesty, determination and an extraordinary vocal ability. Working across pop, soul and singer-songwriter styles, she’s developed a growing global following with music informed by both hardship and optimism. Her songs draw on experiences of pain, love, survival and hope, transforming difficult chapters into something capable of connecting with listeners across cultures and generations.
At the centre of that connection is TaniA’s incredible voice; spanning five octaves and reaching into the whistle register, it possesses both technical range and emotional force, allowing her to move from intimate expression to soaring vocal performances. Working closely with her husband and collaborator Rynellton, she’s developed a sound that gives those vocals room to lead, combining melodic songwriting with lush instrumentation created around her ideas.
That collaborative process begins with TaniA herself, with the artist writing the vocal melodies and arrangements for every song first, often capturing song ideas through voice memos on her phone. From there, Rynellton, a producer and multi-instrumentalist, builds the instrumentation and musical textures around her vocal concepts, sometimes co-writing with her, resulting in a highly personal creative process in which the voice becomes the starting point for everything that follows.
Her hands-on approach extends well beyond songwriting, as TaniA serves as her own vocal producer while also taking control of her visual identity. It’s an independent approach that mirrors the determination running through her music and over the years, she’s been featured in hundreds of publications, including NY Weekly, TimeOut California, Huff Mag, Monaco and Hollywood Chronicle, while MSN News named her among the Top Ten Women Revolutionising Their Fields.

Her latest creative chapter takes that independent context into a much larger conversation with her new single titled “Human,” a collaboration with Rynellton that grew from an unexpected moment. The pair believed they had completed the final song for TaniA’s forthcoming album FREE-SPIRITED when a Facebook post changed direction. Affected by the hostility and division she was seeing online towards people from different races, cultures and backgrounds, TaniA wrote about empathy and shared humanity.
The words stayed with her, eventually becoming lyrics and by sitting with Rynellton at the keyboard in their bedroom, she decided they needed to create one more song and call it “Human.” Brought in by the emotive delivery of TaniA’s expressive voice which hovers above hazy instrumentation, the track jumps into an uptempo scene of stomping beats and colourful arrangement, flowing with lively dance pop vibes. With rolling percussion and shifting synth layers, TaniA’s spectacular vocals take flight to deliver an engrossing musical experience from start to finish.
Packed full of memorable melodies and poignant lyricism, “Human” delivers an epic sound that’s designed to make people move while encouraging them to consider something deeper. By not presenting a manifesto or telling listeners what to believe, the song asks a broader question about what it means to be human and how can we live in harmony. In that sense, “Human” distils much of what’s defined Kyllikki’s journey so far, turning personal feeling into something communal, using music not just to tell her story but to create a space where other people can find themselves within it.
