Based in the Netherlands, electronic artist Sanaraba has spent the last nine years developing his understanding of sound, gradually forging his approach as a DJ and producer before launching his project under the name this year. Led by an interest in nature, visual art and intricate creative construction, his music explores the relationship between emotion and electronic production, treating each track as an expression of a particular feeling or state of mind. By not creating music solely for the dancefloor, Sanaraba views sound as a means of processing personal experiences, transforming moments of reflection and growth into immersive sonic landscapes.
The project represents the result of years spent cutting his teeth and discovering a musical vsion that feels entirely his own. Perfectionism informs the structure and impact of his productions, while the experiences behind them provide their emotional settings. Whether working in the studio or performing behind the decks, Sanaraba’s intention is to translate feelings into sound and fogm a deeper connection with listeners. It’s an ethos that gives his electronic music a personal dimension, allowing the movement and energy of the dancefloor to overlap with a more reflective creative context.
Sanaraba introduced this vision in April with his debut single, “New Beginnings,” before following it with the sophomore outing “Calming the Storm” which landed in August. Both releases form part of the artist’s developing journey, leading towards his latest single titled “Shining Soul,” a track that explores the possibility of finding light after a period of profound personal difficulty. The relationship between emotional experience and musical expression becomes particularly direct on this track, with the production arising from a struggle with severe burnout, emotional numbness and the complex realities of facing life with neurodivergence.

During this period, the studio became a space in which Sanaraba could process experiences that felt difficult to access or understand emotionally. Chronic overload had left him struggling to feel naturally, prompting a deeper examination of the choices available when life becomes overwhelming. From that experience came the realisation that each day presents a decision between remaining trapped in darkness and choosing to move towards something brighter. “Shining Soul” captures the moment of choosing the latter, turning a difficult chapter into a statement of forward motion.
Brought in by soft key textures and the bright flutter of bird song, the steady taps of percussion and pulse of synth builds up the energy as the track slips into an uplifting scene. Zappy synth shots and snapping beats usher in grooving bass energy, forming an upbeat dance music jam brimming with lively energy, joyous tone and infectious rhythmic momentum. Gliding through a transportive breakdown, the song strips back the arrangement before building towards an epic finale stacked with colourful instrumentation, shuffling beats and buoyant melodic flickers, resulting in a truly enjoyable musical moment that’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
The emphasis on movement gives “Shining Soul” a purpose beyond simply providing an energetic club soundtrack. Its shimmering production becomes an expression of recovery, offering an alternative to the emotional stagnation that inspired it. The music encourages listeners to reconnect with the present moment, finding release through rhythmic motion, allowing the dancefloor to become a place where personal struggles can be acknowledged without allowing them to define the entire experience. Ultimately, “Shining Soul” is about choosing to keep moving when standing still feels easier and through its uplifting blend of electronic styles and highly personal origins, Sanaraba turns the search for emotional understanding into a vibrant, danceable statement of determination, showing that music can hold darkness and hope within the same beat.
