At just seventeen years old, Australian-Taiwanese artist Annabelle Tiffin is beginning to make an impact with a sound that blends candid lyricism, cultural perspective and a truly distinctive voice. Music has been her sole passion since the age of nine and what began as a personal interest has since bloomed into a creative pursuit of songwriting and self-expression. Having grown up between different countries and cultures, Annabelle brings a perspective informed by different experiences, using her writing to explore feelings and stories that strike a chord beyond her own life.
Her songwriting journey began during the pandemic, a period that prompted her to put her thoughts into music and she’s continued writing ever since, building a collection of songs that combine indie pop appeal with honest, story-driven style. She’s creatively driven by a desire to make people feel something genuine and by not treating music as merely a vehicle for catchy melodies, Annabelle places emotion at the centre of her process, aiming to craft songs that leave a lasting impression while remaining true to who she is.
Her powerful vocals are central to the identity she’s developing, providing a compelling contrast between youthful energy and the darker emotional undercurrents that ripple throughout her material. It’s this balance that allows her music to move between accessible pop and more contemplative spheres while keeping sight of its sense of personality. This year marks an important new chapter for Annabelle as she steps forward as a solo artist, releasing a string of well-received singles ahead of her forthcoming single titled “When Its All Said And Done.|

Landing in full on the 31st of October, the release represents a significant moment in a musical journey that’s been developing since her early teens, bringing together the different elements of her sound into a five-track outing. Four of its tracks have already been released as singles, offering listeners an introduction to the creative direction she’s pursuing before the new single arrives later this month. The recording of her material in Los Angeles marks another step in this developing artistic identity while her work has already begun attracting attention from listeners and tastemakers around the world.
Her debut single “Currents” forms with gentle acoustic guitar strums as alluring vocals drift above carrying heartfelt lyrics via tender melodies. Developing with the soft patter of percussion, the track serves up a charming indie folk outing that puts her delicate songwriting and performance flair on full display as the song swells with rustling drums, rising instrumentation and stunning vocal performance. The song has also been featured in the film F Valentine’s Day, expanding its reach to a new setting on screen.
“Motion Sickness” follows with the lilting rhythmic sway of breezy acoustic guitar chords, warm bass notes and building percussion as Annabelle’s expressive vocals flutter above. With shifting rhythms, the song glides into an instantly memorable pop-tinged scene that’s heartfelt and truly impossible not to love.
With “Whiplash,” the intricate flicker of guitar and hushed vocals combine to cast an intimate and subtly moody sound that gradually progresses with shuffling percussion and dashes of instrumental touches as Annabelle’s impassioned voice soars above. It’s a superb showcase of her emotive songwriting and her knack for taking listeners on an engrossing sonic journey that conveys a truly moving experience.
Recent single “Daffodils,” also featured on the film Pretty Babies, forms with graceful piano notes and soothing vocal leads, capturing Annabelle’s highly affecting songwriting in a stripped back setting. With elegant, overlapping vocal layers and immersive musical atmosphere, it’s a timeless and thoroughly engaging outing that gently surges with the muted punch of drums to offer an enticing listening experience from start to finish.
The upcoming track “When Its All Said And Done” drifts into view with soft instrumental textures as Annabelle’s blissful voice spins storytelling lyrics via catchy melodic leads. Building the arrangement with stabbing guitars and thumping drums, it’s her most energising jam thus far, leaning into an alternative pop sound that unveils an exciting new side to her incredible musical vision. With “When Its All Said And Done” arriving on the 31st of October, fans will have much to look forward to from this exciting artist on the rise and the most ambitious release on what’s sure to be her breakout year.
