Founded in 2019 by a trio of experienced musicians, Long Term Parking is an outfit that seeks to create a platform of free expression for their creative vision to truly thrive. Separately, the members of Long Term Parking have impressive track records of musical portfolios. Libor Koutnik – aka Kolib – has released two solo albums, collaborating with renowned American bass player Fernando Saunders on his upcoming LP.
As a producer, he’s worked closely with post-folklore group Ponk, a band that includes fellow Long Term Parking member Micharl Krystynek – aka Christineck – who composes, sings and provides violin in the band. The line up is completed by Pavel BÅ™Ãza, who has played and recorded drums for Czech superstar Karel Gott, among other work.
Together they create a project that’s more than the sum of its parts. Taking influence from the likes of Arcade Fire, Radiohead, Kendrick Lamar and Beck, they deliver and fiercely original sound of atmospheric alternative music that bends from hip hop to rock to alt-pop while peppering their sound with inspirations from classical and folk music.
After three years of searching for their ideal artistic expression, they bring us their debut album, titled Luxury Luxury. With their ten-track full-length release that refuses to be boxed into any one genre or style, they demonstrate the depth of their creativity and musicianship with complex musicianship and writing on a worthy debut release.
