London-based producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist Noé Solange has carved out a name for herself with her unique brand of downtempo electronic music. Taking influence from her heritage, international upbringing and the nature that surrounds her, she creates atmospheric soundscapes that fully immerse the listener.
After the release of her well-received single “Nocturnal Lady”, the Dutch-Indonesian artist has unveiled more nuanced work and a new exploration of her distinct and original electronic sound. As part of that new developing sound, she’s recently worked with Canadian composer and producer Ross K on a new collaborative single titled “Time”.
On the new single, Noé Solange shares, “It’s about feeling lost in a fast-paced world and taking comfort in slowing down, yet desperate to find direction and move forward.”
Ross K has a versatile track record of working across indie, classical and electric styles while taking inspiration from films and visual art to create music that explores the human condition in relation to its surroundings. Perfectly complimenting Noé Solange’s blend of melancholic sonic tapestries, progressive synths and piquant vocal harmonies, Ross K brings his compositional and arrangement flair with delicates pads and guitar, laying down a shimmering characteristic to the sound.
Commenting on the collaboration, Ross K offers, “It was a pleasure to work with Noé Solange on this – blending our two sound worlds into something new and multi-layered. ‘Time’ is an immersive piece, exploring the juxtaposition between introspective stillness and external chaotic change.”
On “Time”, the two producers combine to make a blissful trance-inducing piece that’s just as engaging as it is ethereal. Drifting through a dreamlike world, intricate synth work weaves in between Noé’s softly floating vocal work to create a stunning collaboration between two accomplished artists.
