Hailing from the Welsh region of Powys, talented independent singer-songwriter Sabine has been delighting listeners with her unique brand of chilled pop with flavours of folk and contemporary country. Drawing influence from other female artists such as Joan Armatrading, Gabrielle and Colbie Caillat, she’s struck a chord with her own releases, with success that’s seen her perform at various venues across the UK as well as BBC Countryfile Live and a headline slot at The Camden Chapel in London.
During lockdown she took part in Oxjam’s online music festival as well as giving a performance for the Shropshire Virtual Show. Her online presence has been bolstered with tens of thousands of streams of her music on Spotify and she’s caught the attention of radio playlisters, receiving extensive coverage on various BBC stations with her tracks making Record of the Month and Record of the Week in both 2020 and last year.
Now she brings us her latest single with the new track “i didn’t mean to”, produced by Nashville artist and producer Ben Becker and mastered by Richard Wood at the Old Smithy Studios in Worcester. With her smooth vocal work at the forefront of the song and backed up by a dreamy blend of instrumentation, “i didn’t mean to” offers an emotive sound while telling the story of unrequited love. Softly swaying and with a lullaby quality, on her new track, Sabine demonstrates why she’s undoubtedly an artist to watch in the UK pop music world.
