Hailing from Maryland, USA, singer-songwriter Fatema Siddiquee has ventured out on her solo project under the name ema sid. Playing piano and ukulele, the artist writes and performs most of her songs on the two instruments.
Influenced by artists such as Gracie Abrams, Conan Gray, ema sid offers her own style of delicate indie pop music that soothes and inspires. She’s just made her studio introduction by releasing her debut single with the new track “the letter”.
The debut song, produced by GDA Productions in Baltimore, is a confession of love to the artist’s lover in a letter form. Capturing an intimate sound, it’s a chilled out lo-fi piece that shows a new artist with a lot to offer.
Thoughtful and intricate, “the letter” is a cozy gentle indie jam full of soft instrumentation sitting below ema’s soulful vocal work. Keep up with ema and her music on her website here.
