Nashville-based indie rock outfit We Are Messengers are fronted by Irishman Darren Mulligan and make infectiously catchy, rowdy music. Over the last few years they’ve found limitless success, clocking over 350 million streams, gaining more than 2 billion radio impressions as well as playing their music live to over 2 million fans.
Their work has seen them win a K-LOVE award as well as being nominated for a Dove award. With their second album, Power, they unveiled the award-winning self-acceptance anthem “Maybe It’s Ok” which they then followed up with an extension to the album titled Power + which saw the band collaborate with Vince Gill on the track “Image Of God”.
Off the back of their third album, Wholehearted, they now bring us the #1 hit song and single lifted from the record, “Come What May”. On their new single, the Curb | Word Entertainment band deliver their typical stadium-ready hooks on an utterly emphatic and uplifting sound.
Commenting on the single, frontman Darren Mulligan shares, “In the past year, we’ve all collectively been forced to concede that, despite our illusions and devises, we do not get to control the world around us.”
Adding, “‘Come What May’ is a song that not only acknowledges this reality, but revels in the fact that we have a God that loves us and is worthy of our faith, hope, and trust no matter what circumstances we are facing. It’s a celebration of freedom of not having to fabricate a false reality to ourselves and those around us and a declaration of the goodness of God.”
