New music from Snakedoctors

Snakedoctors is an alternative rock band made up of four friends from Gdansk, Poland. Since they formed in May 2020, they’ve had a busy two years, releasing an impressive seventeen singles and three full-length albums; Obligation, Joy Free Bowl and Mellow Joy.

Already finding success with their music, they’ve struck a chord with fans all over the world and have enjoyed their single “Close That Door” at number one for over 30 weeks in Poland on Radio Olsztyn Top 40. Another track, “Got Him Another Girl” hit number one at radio airplay chart for central America as well as receiving radio chart positions in the UK, the USA and several South American countries.

With their music being well-received all over the world they’re gearing up to drop their most ambitious project to date. Their upcoming release, titled Four and a Half is a double album that offers the best diversity of their sound. On the first half, the songs are heavily influenced by new wave, dark wave, post-punk and shoegaze.

The second half takes a different, more grunge focused approach. Linking once again with collaborators from Abbey Road Studios and Metropolis Studios, they’ve also worked with new creatives known for their work with artists such as Depeche Mode, Yazoo, The Cure, The Mission, The Kinks, Jane’s Addiction and David Bowie and Spoon.

In the build up to the new double album, they now bring us their latest single and the first from the forthcoming release with the track “Crime Story”. Inspired by early 80s new wave pioneers, the new single is a song about the dark side of life. Full of melancholic vocal leads and flangey guitar work, on “Crime Story”, Snakedoctors give the first taste of what’s to come on their upcoming album.
