Based in the French city of Lyon, Texture Pack is the new electronic music project from dj luj. Working with synthesisers and a computer, the artist produces all their music in their home studio and draws influence from artists such as Burial and the Prodigy, as well as the UKG music movement in general.
A lover of anything dark and experimental, with his own music he offers a deep and rhythmic sound that’s full of snapping beats and peppered with contrasting sonic textures. Having already graced the club scene in the south of France with his live sets, he’s now started to drop his cuts via official releases.
His debut offering comes with the track “Sand”, a dark and driving UKG piece that’s energetic and grooving. Carried by an intricate beat and low wobbing synth lines, Texture Pack offers a minimalistic arrangement that allows his instrumental work room to breathe on this worthy introduction.
Composed about the struggles of life, on “Sand”, the producer demonstrates his ability to craft engaging electronic music that’s just as suitable on the dance floor as it is on a late night drive. With his new project only just underway, he’s already confirmed his talents as as dj and artist with an exciting sonic vision and the production panache to make it work.
