Havoc Osiris is an electronic music producer from Plano, Texas who makes self-described “dystopian hip hip” or “doomhop” music. Growing up as the youngest of three siblings, it was Coolio’s iconic Gangsta’s Paradise album that Havoc Osiris can trace his love of hip hop back to.
Since that moment, he’s gone on to appreciate artists from all eras and genres but it wasn’t until the pandemic struck in 2020 that he decided to start producing his own music. After initially cutting his teeth on GarageBand, he later found his sound last year and began an endeavour that would see him create dark and ominous electronic cuts that sound like nothing else around.
A truly prolific composer and producer, despite only releasing music for around a year, the artist has dropped an incredible nine EPs and eleven albums with over twenty one more full-length releases due this year. A work rate that’s quite frankly astonishing, it speaks volumes to the creative flair and unlimited scope of the artist’s musical force.
Blending the tempo of hip hop and the texture and sonic aesthetics of cyberpunk, Havoc Osiris spins an industrial style that’s rooted in dystopian worlds. His music relies more on imagination than reality and with his recent track, titled “Imbalance”, he seeks to establish that his own brand of music lives within a surrealist version of cyberpunk fiction.
On “Imbalance”, Havoc Osiris delivers the perfect taste of his music. Gloomy and jarring synths collide with a marching beat as the top lines weave otherworldly and vivid scene. With sudden rhythm shifts igniting abrupt changes in instrumentation and melody, his recent track offers a breathtaking journey through the mind of a truly imaginative artist.
