Multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and producer Jason LaPierre uses his unique musical palette to paint bright sonic paintings that inspire deep emotions. The Connecticut-based musician draws on his jazz and soul interests to create his sound, while refusing to box himself into any one genre or style.
Making his debut in 2020 with the well-received single “All in My Head”, he set the tone for his artistic offering, blending delicate jazz style instrumentation with creative vocal arrangements. With his follow up, his sophomore single “Uncertainty” confirmed his talents as a skilled musician and lyricist and saw the artist collaborate with renowned violinist, professor at London’s Royal Academy of Music’s Junior Academy and one of Jason’s biggest inspirations; Suzie Collier.
An artist of vast talent and extraordinary compositional skills, Jason LaPierre has embarked on a journey this year to release new music every month. The first offering of this new adventure comes with the recent single “catching feelings 4 u”.
Framed in a lofi, hazy-toned arrangement, the single is a delightful and breezy jazz-romantica jam, written as a confessional letter for a long-time crush. Laying down his timeless lyrical songwriting, wrapped up in a modern sound, on his new song Jason LaPierre shows his brilliance as a performer as well as an arranger of complex and beautiful instrumentation.
