Folk Pop from Danni Nicholls

Danni Nicholls is a singer-songwriter who has been pioneering the Americana sound in the UK for over a decade. Based in Bedfordshire, she grew up on the American roots music of her Anglo-Indian grandmother’s record collection, soaking up the folk, country and rock n roll music from the other side of the Atlantic.

At 16, she inherited her uncle’s 1963 Burns London guitar – rumoured to have been previously owned and played by legendary rock n roll star and actor Billy Fury – the music that had shaped her in her youth came pouring back and flowed out in her own original compositions.

Now a multi-award nominated artist in her own right and with a growing fanbase of loyal listeners, she’s released three critically acclaimed albums since her debut with 2013’s A Little Redemption. Working with some of the best names in the folk pop world, her first two albums were produced by Chris Donohue in Nashville, Tennessee, with her third record produced by Jordan Brooke Hamlin in 2019.

Following on from 2021’s single “Valentine”, Danni Nicholls returns with her latest work, the new track “Little Fictions”. Emerging from the pandemic, the artist found a new frame of mind, full of resolve, pride and determination to truly live every day to its fullest.

This new mindset and her experience overcoming self-doubt led her to penning her new single. Full of delicate melodic writing, her vocal lines float effortlessly above a warming arrangement of piano, acoustic guitar and strings on this delightful and timeless folk pop anthem.
