Over the last two years, Norwegian alternative indie duo Temperature Falls have built up an avid following of fans all over the world. Formed by vocalist and lyricist Camila and multi-instrumentalist Ian J. Ward, they combine to unleash a compelling creative vision that focuses more on authenticity than commercial appeal.
Since their debut single and album in 2019 with “Darkness All Around” and the eponymous Temperature Falls, they’ve received multiple placements in official Spotify playlists. The prolific pair have gone on to release a string of singles as well as two follow up albums, with the sophomore record I Want To Go Where You Go and last year’s Nobody To Believe In Anymore.
With their music, they deliver a unique style of alternative electronic pop that bends from smooth psychedelic sounds fused with hip hop to bold riff-driven rock music. Currently gearing up to drop their fourth album later this year, Temperature Falls seek to push the boundary of their music further than ever before.
Ahead of their upcoming record, they bring us one of their latest works with the new single “Lab Rat”. Laying down the very best of their beat-driven sound, on “Lab Rat” they venture into a kaleidoscopic trip hop soundscape that invokes vivid imagery via a truly immersive sound.
Inspired by the suffocating sensation that might occur if you bump into an ex-partner at a party and feel trapped, unwillingly reliving the moments spent together, “Lab Rat” is an innovative psychedelic cut full of melody and colourful instrumentation. Carried by Camila’s commanding vocal delivery, on their recent single, Temperature Falls build more excitement for their forthcoming full-length release with a mesmeric song that demonstrates the expanse of their creativity and musical talent.
