Kihmy is a Swiss-born, Italian-raised alternative pop artist who’s had a lifelong passion for music. From an early age she found a devotion for music when she started playing keyboard and writing songs as a child.
As she grew up she discovered electronic music and dived into the worlds of hardcore, techno and house before becoming immersed in hip hop culture which had huge influence on her artistic work. Before venturing out as a solo artist however, she studied economics but soon realised her true calling was to pursue a career in music. At twenty five, she took a leap of faith and embarked on her sonic journey as Kihmy.
After learning how to producer her own music, she made her introduction in 2017 with her debut EP titled Only For Love. The release featured seven original tracks that showcased her style of smooth and soulful R&B wrapped up in a hazy melancholic atmosphere. Making a splash with her first work, her deep commanding vocal work carrying her thoughtful lyricism set the tone for her creative vision.
Now, after a five year hiatus from releasing music, Kihmy announces her return with a brand new single set to drop on Wednesday 13th July. The upcoming track, titled “Alone With My Pillow” sees the artist pick up where she left off, laying down a smoky blend of silky vocals, a snappy beat and a delicate piano and string arrangement. With “Alone With My Pillow”, Kihmy comes back with a bang on a must-hear single that makes it seem she never left.
