Indie Pop from Liloe Rix

Amsterdam-based Liloe Rix is a singer-songwriter and guitarist who always has an optimistic outlook, looking to see the good in the bad. Making her debut in 2018 with the single “Breathe”, she’s dropped a string of well-received singles since then and racked up tens of thousands of streams of her music along the way.

Searching for answers about life, about this world and about herself, she uses her music to discover more and to shed some light on the unknown. Characterised by her delicate vocal work, her music offers an upbeat indie pop sound full of colourful melodic writing and gentle rhythms.

With her debut EP titled Imperfections set to drop in October, she’s recently released the lead single lifted from the upcoming EP with the track “Let Go”. The new songs from the EP were all written with one main driving force in mind; a process to overcome burnout with an anxiety disorder.

Using her compositions as a cathartic vehicle for channeling energy in a positive direction, the songs serve as messages to herself about what she’s learned on her journey so far. Initially feeling too vulnerable to share such intimate work and feeling ashamed about dealing with mental health, it was during the pandemic when much needed attention was given to mental wellbeing that encouraged her to add her stories to the conversation.

With the lead single, Liloe Rix delivers the first taste of her most ambitious project yet. Written about letting go of control, fear and negative thoughts, “Let Go” offers a therapeutic message that you can’t control everything in life. Full of graceful, airy vocals and tender energy, on her new single, Liloe Rix lays down a catchy and elegant indie pop hit that builds excitement for her forthcoming EP.
