New EP from ManiksWorld

American artist, songwriter and producer Blair Schwarz has been working under the moniker ManiksWorld since 2018 when he made his debut with his first single “FallingSky/Lucid”. Following that release, it led to ManiksWorld linking up with producer Billy Zonzo, known as Billy’s Beats, on several well-received tracks such as “Nocturnal” and “Bad Company”.

Their partnership first flourished after ManiksWorld heard a Billy’s Beats cut uploaded online and immediately reached out to him over Instagram during the pandemic in 2020. Since then, the pair have been working together drawing on their shared music tastes and inspirations from artists such as The Weeknd, Jaden, Eminem, Travis Scott and Denzel Curry.

With a penchant for crafting dark cinematic soundscapes, driven by hip hop beats, they spin atmospheric and ethereal sonic tapestries with touches of trap and witch house. Recently they’ve started to collaborate with other artists as they’ve worked on the debut ManiksWorld EP titled DONT RUN, FLY.

Featuring seven original tracks, throughout DONT RUN, FLY, they lay down a fierce hip hop sound full of hard hitting rhythms and spacey vocal flows. As their most ambitious release to date, the new EP serves to demonstrate just how far both ManiksWorld and Billy’s Beats have come as artists on a release that’s both mesmerising and immersive.

Produced between them, Billy made all the beats in at his home in Chicago and his dorm in Iowa City and ManiksWorld recorded all the vocals in his New Jersey apartment. Working with other producers such as Zekiro Beats, Daniel Taylor, Mac Shooter and others, on the new EP, ManiksWorld and Billy’s Beats offer the very best of their sound by two artists on the rise.
