Based at Joshua Tree in California, FireBug are an alternative rock band comprised by frontwoman and multi-instrumentalist Juliette Tworsey, Jules Shapiro on lead guitar, organ and synthesisers, bass player Joseph Noval and Charles Wiley on drums. Not only offering exceptional studio releases, they’ve become a prolific live act with performances as venues and festivals all over the world.
In North America they’ve graced the stages of prestigious events such as SXSW Festival and CMJ New York City and in Europe they’ve played Sonisphere Festival at Knebworth and performed shows at Camden’s Dublin Castle in London. Along the way they’ve shared the stage with superstar artists such as Iggy Pop, The Cult, Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello and many others.
With their sound of modern rock, folk and blues with a New Orleans style twist, they’ve captivated fans with their music. Recently signed to the French imprint M & O Music, they’re on a mission to deliver something new from a familiar classic sound.
On their latest album, titled No Return, they received critical acclaim and further cemented their reputation as a Californian rock band at the top of their game. Lifted from the album comes their latest single with the song “Change”, recorded at Clocktower Recorders in Joshua Tree, produced by The Two Jays and engineered and mastered by Charlie Stavish and Randy Merrill respectively.
On their new single, FireBug lay down their charming rock sound full of memorable vocal leads and a delicate arrangement to create a classic ballad feel. Once again showcasing their accomplished musicianship and songwriting panache, with “Change” they continue their stunning revival of classic rock music framed by their unique creative vision.
