Abisso drop new album

Hailing from the Italian island of Sardinia, Abisso is the musical duo formed by artists EryaV and D’avy. With their music, they offer a wildly original instrumental sound of dark moods and deep atmospheres to create an otherworldly sonic offering like nothing else. While they’re based on an island paradise full of white sandy beaches, crystal clear sea and sunny days, they’re music delves into a contrasting world of gloomy sound.

Spinning ethereal soundscapes, they craft immersive songs that take the listener on journeys to dreamy worlds. Full of rich textures and melancholic writing, their sound is as captivating as it is unique, with each note and each tone playing its small role in building the result of their astonishing creative vision.

Making their formal artistic introduction as Abisso last month, the pair released their debut album, Son Of Abyss. The entirely self-produced record features ten original compositions that each offer a unique audio painting on their own, but when combined on the album, connect seamlessly on a meandering collection of music that ebbs and flows in perfect artistic bliss.

Weaving a truly cinematic listening experience full of theatrical arrangements and delicate moments, on Son Of Abyss, Abisso have made an utterly unique foray into the dark ambient genre. Carried by sparse touches of piano and string instrumentation, augmented by celestial splashes of ghostly sounds, Abisso offers a stunning instrumental work that evokes emotion, reflection and pensive calm with their worthy debut album.
