Hailing from Miami in Florida, Patrick Doval has earned a reputation as a truly prolific solo artist over the years. Since 2008, he’s released five full-length albums and 22 music videos, showcasing the vast expanse of his creative vision and musical talent.
Gaining recognition for his work, he’s racked up multiple accolades with his releases. His most recent album, 2016’s Obscured featured the lead single “Sugarless Candy” which debuted at #164 on the FMQB radio charts as well as extensive airtime on stations across the USA. Peaking at #27 the single stayed in the top 100 for an incredible 20 weeks.
With his visual offering, his music videos have gained international attention with many of them being showcased at premier contemporary art stages such as Art Basel and the Wynwood Arts District of Miami’s Curator’s Voice Art Projects. Recently, he linked up with Hollywood photographer Rovert Zuckerman to showcase an exhibition of select pieces from his ‘Lovers’ series.
Now he brings us his latest single “Soulless Machine” paired with another music video to accompany the track. Laying down his trademark alternative rock sound, on his latest single he creates a swaggering rock hit full of grooving rhythms and hook-driven vocal leads.
With his new music video, he offers a sci-fi cyber punk style collection of scenes. Interestingly, Patrick Doval filmed the music video first with just a storyboard and a vision to which he then composed the song to the visuals. The former drummer of The Offspring, Pete Parada, is also featured playing drums on “Soulless Machine”.
