Henry Ryeder is Brooklyn-based sound designer and musician making his own brand of indie dream pop. Having studied Film Production at New York University Tisch School of Arts, he focused on the sonic side of storytelling while working on his own music.
Aside from his solo artist endeavour, he’s worked on a variety of creative pursuits and projects including composing, producing and performing the score for an original musical as part os Ars Nova’s annual ANT FEST.
With his own music, he offers his own take on melodic indie pop that sees him spin rich tapestries of sound, led by his impassioned vocal work and bright instrumentation to create something completely new. After making his debut in 2020 with the single “Grand Romance” he’s since followed up his introduction with two more singles and now shares his latest solo work with his debut EP titled Boy Image.
Capturing a sound that answers the question of ‘what if New Order were a modern day indie band from Brooklyn?’, with Boy Image, Henry Ryeder offers the very best of his captivating bedroom indie pop sound. Channeling the energy of a young Julian Casablancas, his debut EP delivers an engaging original sound and serves to demonstrate the depth of Henry Ryeder’s creative vision.
Co-produced by Henry Ryeder and Trevor Antonio Vaz, Boy Image shows the talent of the artist’s songwriting, musicianship and performance panache on a truly worthy debut EP.
