Hailing from Warrington in the UK, Mr Bones is a hip hop artist who works with a varied range of MCs and vocalists to add their own flair to his tracks. Capturing the sounds released on Manchester based imprint Grand Central Records during the 90s, he’s become a prolific artist already, with an output that’s seen him dropping a single every two weeks throughout last year.
Along the way, he’s linked up with notable artists such as Cracker Jon and CLBRKS and capped a successful debut year with his first full-length release, the album MonoMon. Showing no sign of slowing down, he’s been sharing a string of releases this year too, including his stellar EP titled On The Shoulders of Giants.
Lifted from the EP comes the track “Get Away”, on which Mr Bones enlisted Bronze Nazareth as a featured artist. Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Bronze Nazareth is a rapper and producer who’s been making waves in the global hop hop scene since 1997 when Wu-Tang Clan affiliate Cilvaringz heard his album and invited him to join the production team at Wu Elements.
Together, both artists spin a laid back old school groove on “Get Away”. Full of atmosphere and floating sonic textures, the track features their razor sharp vocal deliveries. Serving to demonstrate the talents and deserved rise of Mr Bones, on “Get Away” he cooks up a worthy hip hop piece that’s as original as it is engaging.
