Hailing from the Swedish capital of Stockholm, Big No No are a garage rock four-piece formed by musicians Henrik Eksvärd, Florian Matz, Nikki Nyberg and Petter Seander. Taking rock music back to its purest roots, the four friends started out by getting together in a room, writing songs and playing them together in the moment, resulting in their own style of anthemic modern rock music.
Leaving the frills and unnecessary over-production at the door, their sound is driven by broken vintage pedals as much as the distortion from the ambient mics placed around the recording room. With their short and to-the-point songs, they offer an uncompromising and authentic window into their own sonic vision.
Earlier this year they made their introduction with their debut release, the appropriately titled EP First Three Songs. As the title would suggest, their first outing delivered the first three original tracks from Big No No and showcased their blistering indie rock sound full of memorable vocal leads wrapped up in an epic sound.
Lifted from the EP comes the single “Letters”, the ultimate taste of what Big No No are about. A storming modern rock composition that features a captivating sing-a-long chorus and soaring electric guitar leads.
Currently playing a string of shows around their home country of Sweden, the band is also gearing up to release their debut full-length release with a new album set to drop this autumn.
