Hailing from the city of Verona in the north of Italy, Lorenzo Gabanizza has had a decorated musical career which notably took off in 1991 when he linked up with Donovan and became a member of his team. The following decade, Lorenzo became a member of the Vic Elmes band Christie Again where he penned the hit “Meet Me at the River” which featured on the greatest hits album Christie Again all the hit and more.
Last October, Lorenzo collaborated with the multi-platinum selling artist Jeff Christie on the single “You’re Not There” which was mastered by Greg Calbi who’s previously engineered for legendary artists such as John Lennon, David Bowie and Bob Dylan.
Earning Lorenzo Gabanizza an almost endless list of accolade, “You’re Not There” hit #1 in the iTunes Country Charts in South Africa, #4 in the European Indie Charts and World Indie Charts, #3 in the MTC USA Spotify Chart with the accompanying music video winning the 4th Golden Wheat Awards and the Toronto Alternative Film Festival as well making an official selection at the Munich Music Video Awards, the International Music Awards in London and the Malabar Film Festival in India.
Off the back of all that success from 2021, Lorenzo has now connected with Jeff Christie once again on his latest release, the new single “I Guess I Am The Only One”. Carrying a profoundly deep message, the song takes aim at the way people live today and the rampant consumerism that’s engulfed modern life and skewed the priorities of what people should find important.
Contrasting the reflective meaning behind the song’s context, Lorenzo Gabanizza delivers a vibrant and instantly catchy sound on his latest single. Brimming with the very best of his timeless country sound, “I Guess I Am The Only One” offers a memorable sound full of rhythm and bright melodic leads.
Alongside Lorenzo and Jeff are the USA Billboard charting Rusty Wright, British pianist Chris Lydon and a welcome feature for two original members of the band Christie with Paul Fenton and Kev Moore.
