Darkly Ethereal Synth Pop from Ariahindream

Based in London, Ariahindream is an artist that blends soulful trip hop sounds with synth pop sentiments to create an original ethereal sound. With deeply atmospheric arrangement and textures, she creates immersive sonic tapestries that perfectly compliment her mesmeric vocal delivery.

With her goose-bump inducing voice delicately weaving amongst cinematic instrumentation, she crafts floating melodies that hypnotise in kaleidoscopic fashion. In 2018, she released her sophomore single titled “Complicated” before returning this year with her latest releases.

Commenting on her second release, she shares, “With Complicated I had this concept in mind of love as water. I decided to drench the track in reverb and ‘splash’ type electronic instrumentation, the music video expands on this theme. I thought about how love, like water, is vital for survival – but also capable of causing harm. It made me think about context, and how important it is in deciding whether the purest of things can corrupt, and be corrupted…”

Followed up by her first release of 2022, the remaster of the lead single from her private EP inDream, her track “Forever” offered more of her trademark alternative pop sound, with Ariah stating, “Forever represents a single stage in a process of self-discovery that develops over each track on inDream. It represents a more challenging point, so I wanted the music to convey that sense of complication. It focuses on introspection: scrutinising the ways in which perspective effects the quality and experience of life.”

Now she brings us her latest release with the brand new single “Inside”. Crafting a dark and haunting sound, with “Inside” Ariahindream delivers a stripped back ambient pop sound full of rich vocal work paired with an otherworldly soundscape.

Creating a hazy palette of winding synth lines and found-sound samples, “Inside” offers a follow-up to her previous single “Selene”. The track “Selene” was inspired by Greek mythology and the love story of the Celestial Moon Goddess of the same name. While “Selene” brought an angelic, ethereal, and soothing chillwave energy to the table, “Inside” represents its bitter sequel. The Moon Goddess, once hopeful of the prospect of unconditional love, finds herself living through a painfully human reality that’s dark, isolated, desolate… and far from the celestial world she once called home.

With Ariahindream’s stunning vocal leads at the forefront, her latest single “Inside” sees the artist shares an elegant new song that’s as soporific as it is dramatic.
