StarAV links with venice lockjaw

Hailing from Australia, StarAV is an artist that takes influence from the likes of Radiohead, Beach House and Arca. With his own unique sound he crafts immersive alternative music full of piquant instrumentation and memorable melodic writing.

Over the last year he’s been releasing his original songs and collaborating with several different artists along the way. Working with other musicians, he allows the imprint of other creatives to add their own flair on his ever-developing sound.

His most recent single saw StarAV link up with multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter venice lockjaw on the new track titled “Unseen”. Since discovering venice lockjaw’s music on Soundcloud, StarAV reached out to the artist to set up a musical partnership on the new song.

After being sent a guitar-based arrangement that venice lockjaw had put together in his home studio, StarAV then laid down his vocals and the final section of the song. Both artists then bounced their ideas back and forth to polish the finished sound with Sean Franco helping mix StarAV’s vocal tracks and Juan from powerestudios mastering the song.

Written about ghosts of the past and the constant pursuit of dreams, on “Unseen”, StarAV and venice lockjaw lay down a delicate and ethereal sound of alternative folk music. Blending haunting vocal lines with a warm arrangement of guitars and percussion, the pair offer a worthy collaborative track that perfectly combines their respective talents.
