Hailing from Montpellier in France, Paul Roux is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer on the rise. Drawing on various influences, as well as his extensive musicianship talent he crafts electronic music that flows between different styles and genres.
Utilising a blend of live instruments and rich electronic textures Paul Roux creates deep and immersive soundscapes that transport the listener into new musical worlds. Since 2015 he’s been sharing his unique sonic vision, kicked off with the double-sided single “Sea Level”, which he’s followed up with a string of well-received singles and EPs.
With his most recent release, he shared his new EP titled Humanity and brings us the title track, the perfect taste of his ethereal beat-driven sound. Venturing further into a ghostly and otherworldly realm, wrapped up in a Chicago vibe, on “Humanity” Paul Roux spins a captivating and eerie modern electronic sound that serves to showcase his composition prowess and production panache.
Commenting on his latest EP, the artist shares, “What I appreciate about art and music is its strength, power, and ability to provide escapism and a moment to question ourselves. We live in a fast-paced world where overconsumption is rife. I wanted to create some time out, with the Humanity EP acting as personal therapy for me; A self-assessment of nature and of things I find essential in life.”
