Based between Cologne in Germany and Melbourne in Australia, James Wallace is an indie pop artist who’s been showcasing his dreamy sonic vision over the last decade, making music under the Coloured Clocks moniker. Laying down a mesmerising sound of guitars, synths, grooving percussion and his delicate vocals that float carrying hook-driven melodic leads, the international pop artist offers a dazzling style that bends from catchy indie hits to spacey ambient moments.
Releasing his debut album in 2012 with Zoo, he’s since gone on to drop a string of singles and five incredible full-length records. Following the release of the lead single “The Future Love” earlier this year, he brings us his latest work with the brand new album titled Castle.
Featuring thirteen new tracks that fuse together the Coloured Clocks stunning indie pop style with psychedelic tinges more than ever before, the artist’s latest album marks a true highlight in his already impressive sonic catalogue. Channeling the sounds of of artists such as Tame Impala with the classic songwriting of the Beatles, Oasis and Elton John, on Castle, Coloured Clocks spins a timeless and ethereal indie pop outing.
Featuring the single “The Future Love” as well as the infectiously catchy tracks of “Flightless Tigers” and “Only Lonely”, across the album the artist shares a spectacular run through of his talent as a songwriter as well as his performance panache and production prowess.
