Based in the town of West Hartford in Connecticut, folk rock artist Michael Suddes set out on his musical journey at the age of thirteen when he first picked up a guitar. Going on to study jazz guitar in the Pacific Northwest, he later moved back the New England where he set about creating his distinct artistic voice to tell his stories through songs.
Writing from an honest and heartfelt place, the artist is a singer-songwriter who offers poignant lyricism to craft an authentic sound. With his live music, he forms a connection with the audience that’s seen his music resonate so strongly with those who hear it.
Now working on his debut full-length record, he brings us his first studio release with the track titled “I’m a Bird”. Spinning his charming folk rock sound, the first taste of his style captures the warmth and charisma of a talented artist ready to share his sonic vision with the wider world.
Laying down a delicate folk arrangement, lifted by a laid back beat and piquant blend of instrumentation, Michael Suddes’ vocal leads float elegantly carrying alluring melodies to paint a sonic picture via his storytelling lyrics on a truly worthy debut outing.
Commenting on the single, he shares, “This song is a safe space I built for myself when feeling scared and empowered simultaneously. A song that I just kept playing over and over after writing because it gave to me as a dear friend does.”
