Hey Miron, howâs things?
Hello! First of all thank you so much for giving me this opportunity for people to get to know me and my music better. I am doing great and I am super happy to talk to you!
Which artist first made a lasting impression on you?
Bruce Springsteen is amongst the first artists who had me mesmerised. Listening to him made me really fall in love with songwriting. I remember listening to âThe Riverâ and I found it incredibly well written and so sentimental. It also inspired me to want to make people feel like he made me feel.Â
Whatâs your earliest memory of making music?
It was actually making a rap mixtape with my best friend when we were kids. We were obsessed with Eminem, 50 Cent, Mobb Deep etc. In a way thanks to that, I first started writing lyrics and it kept me in practice for a long long time. I started composing and writing for the genre I write today much much later.
Which artists do you draw most inspiration from today?
The Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne, Jacques Brel and Tina Turner. In my opinion they are incredible writers and even better interpreters of what is written. The energy you feel in their music and off the stage is phenomenal.Â
How else do you find inspiration for your music?
It might sound as a cliche but I try to find inspiration from everything and anything. You never know what will inspire you and I think you should be open to all kinds of opportunities for when inspiration hits you. What I firmly believe is that besides finding inspiration, it is vital to kind of âpracticeâ inspiration. I work constantly on writing and composing and most of the time itâs not great but this practice and work ethic gives very good results when inspiration hits.
What do you love about the Paris music scene?
The Parisian music scene is full of incredible new talents who have a lot to say and present to the public. I am very proud to say that now Iâm part of it. Paris as a city is very diverse with people from all over the world and I think that brings a lot of stories and originality into the scene. However, knowing the history of the city and the artistic weight it holds throughout the centuries, we have a responsibility to really do it justice and live up to it.Â
What would you say is the perfect setting for listeners to enjoy your sound?
This is something I think about a lot and to be honest as cliche and as ambitious as it sounds I want my music to be heard everywhere in all kinds of settings and all kinds of moods. Music accompanies me everywhere all the time and I aspire that my songs do the same for people.Â
How has your own style and sound evolved since you started out?
The road is much clearer now than it was when I started out. I think the main difference is that now I have much more confidence in my progression as an artist. I wouldnât know to explain with words how things have evolved but if one thing is for sure I love the journey and I love what I do and everything else is secondary.Â
How did you find making your new single âAll of a Suddenâ?
All of a sudden was recorded about a year ago. The basic composition and lyrics have been there for some time. However, one day my great friend and producer Nino Spirkoski, just came out with this incredible sound which gave a nice and sexy charm to the song. In the beginning the song was much more depressing in a way so I am glad to be around a person who understands me and what I want to say sometimes better than I do.
What message did you want to get across with this release?
I donât like labelling my songs and giving them an exact meaning. I want people to come out with their own conclusions of what this song means to them. One thing is for sure, this song is about change and most of the changes are not as abrupt as we seem to think. Although it does seem as if things are all of a sudden different.
What artist have you been listening to most recently?
A lot of Metallica, a lot of Elton John as well. Besides them the Eagles, Jimmy Buffet, Frank Sinatra, Lady Gaga and Julio Iglesias.
Whatâs the main thing you want people to get out of listening to your music?
I just hope that they can relate. I write about what I feel and how I feel and the reason why I love music so much is that you can always find a song that relates to how you feel or even how you want or donât want to feel. I want to be there for people as people have been there for me.
Whatâs been your favourite live performance so far?
The Eagles. First time I saw them I was in shock, the second time I had time to stand and kind of study what they do and how they do it. They are masters of the craft and proof that repetition brings mastery.
Who would be 3 artists to headline your dream festival? And where would it be?
It would be in Paris so I donât have to move too much. It would be Bruce Springsteen, Arctic Monkeys and Dua Lipa. I think they are all exceptional performers.
Do you have any advice for a new artist wanting to follow your footsteps?
Donât wait for anyone to tell you youâre good. Work hard enough so you believe and build the confidence to religiously believe that you are great at what you do. When you get an accomplishment as a result of your hard work it really feels and tastes better. Before anyone believes in you, you have to believe in yourself. You have to believe you have a story to tell and you have to believe you have what it takes to leave a lasting impression. You canât achieve that if youâre not true to yourself and what you believe in.
Finally, what do you have lined up for the rest of 2023?
I am impatiently waiting to release my new album which will include seven tracks that have never been heard before. We are in the final stages with Nino and at this point it will come when the timing is right. I am ultra excited to share it with everyone!
