Budapest-based electronic music production group KOI Charge, is led by producer Gergely Buttinger, who is joined by guest musicians from time to time. KOI Charge’s music is heavily inspired by various genres and memories including the video games of the 90s, hip-hop, trip-hop and techno, usually mixed with emotional melodies, gloomy sounds and strange ambient noises.
Despite all the different sources, there’s a common focus in every song to guide the listener through a story, whether it’s a simple one, or something huge and heroic, full of suspense.
The new track “Last Days” is lifted from the album MOVE ON, a soundtrack for an imaginary ‘road trip movie’. “Last Days” is an introduction for the stories, which opens the door for the journey.
On “Last Days”, KOI Charge deliver a venturing electronic world. Fluttering synths chime above the glitching percussion on this worthy IDM piece. The music is paired with a hypnotic visualisation made from fractals that are rendered in a custom programmed engine with endless possibilities.
