Alessio Ceciarini, known artistically as AlCe, has built an original creative world where music, spirituality, poetry and environmental consciousness are intrinsically linked. Based in Tuscany, the singer-songwriter and author has followed a unique personal path, using music not merely as a form of expression but as a means of exploring the relationship between people, nature and the wider world. His work moves between singer-songwriter stylings, poetry and sonic experimentation, with lyrics that regularly turn towards social, ecological and inner questions.
That intriguing outlook has resulted in a body of work extending well beyond conventional songwriting and among his projects is L’amore ai tempi della crisi. Ma non lo vuoi il lieto bene?, a poetry-meets-music project published in Lucca in 2017 and accompanied by an acoustic CD. There’s also Carnevalando, Viareggio–Rio de Janeiro, a concept piece connecting local tradition with international imagery. Alongside these projects, AlCe continues to release songs and audiovisual material through social media, maintaining the steadfast independent spirit that’s always been present on his artistic voyage.
Music, however, forms only one part of his wider philosophy; a CONI-certified yoga instructor and creator of the ‘Yoga-Tarot’ practice, AlCe incorporates holistic disciplines and spiritual inquiry into his creative expression. His interest in sustainability is equally fundamental and his book Storie Ecologiche. Dallo yoga alla bioedilizia explores the relationship between yoga and ecological building, while his work as a green building consultant and volunteer reflects a dedication to the local landscape and environmental responsibility.
It’s this overlap of ecology, spirituality, animal rights, writing and music that gives AlCe’s work its truly distinctive character. His songs can move from Latin-inflected indie rock ballads to hymns celebrating the beauty and contradictions of life, always returning to the idea that music can become an instrument for harmony and personal and social change.

His sense of personal conviction comes sharply into focus on his recent single titled “E’ una bomba,” translating to “It’s A Bomb.” Within the song, an intimate story-focused core expands through Latin rhythms, rock flashes, fusion and soul accents, ultimately coalescing into a pop-inflected Latin rock song that’s memorable and meaningful in equal measure. “E’ una bomba” isn’t another song condemning war however and AlCe’s approach is more reflective, asking listeners to consider the deeper forces that allow conflict to persist.
The track also turns its attention towards the relationship between wealth, fear and responsibility, framing the idea that pursuit of having more, coupled with the anxiety of never having enough, can make individuals unwitting participants in economic systems that contribute to conflict, including investments in weapons. Brought in by the wail of a siren, the track jumps into a bright groove of plucked guitar notes, shuffling drums and colourful brass tones as lively vocalisations ring out above. Flowing with rhythmic vocal delivery and intricate flickers of guitar, the pattering of drums and pulse of bass maintains a steady forward motion as AlCe’s catchy melodic hooks glide throughout.
Propelled by danceable energy and peppered with slick instrumental elements, “E’ una bomba” delivers an infectious musical experience that puts AlCe’s songwriting talent and performance panache on full display. “E’ una bomba” asks its audience to acknowledge the uncomfortable connections between everyday choices and much larger consequences and in that sense, “E’ una bomba” feels like a natural continuation of AlCe’s wider artistic philosophy. From his environmental interests and spiritual practice to his poetry and songwriting, his work repeatedly searches for connections and the single invites listeners to look beyond the obvious, confront their own responsibilities and consider whether understanding might be the first step towards a different kind of future.
