Platos Dream has been playing piano since he was 6 year’s old. After 12 years at music school, and having developed a love of boogie woogie, he started playing in bands embracing as many genres as possible including grunge, rock, reggae and funk. The lead guitarist in his first rock project introduced him to the guitar and more importantly to the looping machine which kick started the next phase in his development.
He created countless loops, each only a few seconds long and hyped by the world of overdub, he started producing his first songs. Over the years he has refined his musical tastes and production methods, focussing on downtempo, world music and jazz to provide the influences for his current sound.
Now, the Austrian-based artist brings us his latest live performance video, a full set performed outdoors in the setting of the Dolomites. The location offers an epic visual backdrop to pair with his performance, creating the perfect balance between sound and scene.
This live performance is Platos Dream’s answer to exhibit all his releases in one special location and provide a new space for his songs. His distinctive harmonies combined with organic nature settings result in creating a unique sonic atmosphere.
