LovergroundĀ is the latest project from London based multi-instrumentalist and producerĀ Kevin Erlicher. Former front-man of indie band Smooth Ends, the French-Argentinian beat maker draws on influences, talents and interests beyond the world of music; he also recently completed a diploma in Psychology & Cognitive Neuroscience at Goldsmiths University.
His previous works have garnered support from Birp FM! and high-profile YouTube music channels including MORIndie, David Dean Burkhart, alona chemerys, RĆøsco and Kiffen Beats.
Loverground’s music is imbued with positive messaging, all riding on joyful instrumental backdrops. Previous support has come from This Song Is Sick, Majestic Casual, David Dean Burkhart and BBC Radio London, as well as Spotify and Apple Music curated playlists.
Having released only three singles to date under theĀ LovergroundĀ moniker, Kevin proves heās doing something right; with a slew of editorial DSP and blog support since the project’s conception in 2019.
Now he brings us his new singleĀ “pup slushy”, an upbeat shimmering house piece taken from his forthcomingĀ whatever happens, happensĀ EP, is setĀ for release on April 29th viaĀ Majestic Casual.
Commenting on his latest release, the producer offers,Ā āan ode to spring, a celebration of good times to come. It is inspired by the ice cream van at the park in front of my house, which has a big ”slush puppie” sign and kids queue for hours to get one. When I see the ice cream truck through my window, I know spring is here, and that summer is coming. This is the first single of my upcoming EP ‘whatever happens, happens’, which will be an ode to summer. The EP will be out in July via Majestic Casual Records”Ā
The artist promises his first EP to be out later this year, a conceptual 5 song piece that will show a much deeper and melancholic side of his music.
