STARR is an artist who’s not merely building a musical project; she’s constructing an entire world. At the centre of that world sits Vampire Hotel, a multi-dimensional creation that exists as both a real-world physical establishment and a sonic ecosystem. With over a million Spotify spins already attached to the “Vampire Hotel” single, the doors are clearly open, but this is a hotel where checking in means entering something deeper and every song has its own room, every room contains another story and every new release unlocks another part of the universe.
STARR uses songwriting as an excavation of reality and her music draws directly from the friction between terror and survival, turning the contradictions of her own experience into something that can be viewed by others. The tension is captured in her own description of herself, “I’m the most afraid person I know, and I’m the bravest person I know.” It’s a contradiction that becomes a sort of creative engine, giving Vampire Hotel its sense of emotion, temptation and transformation.
The concept is thoroughly immersive, with each song landing as a living, breathing entity, finding its own space within the hotel. Every room reveals another chapter, while every door offers another version of what might be found inside and the deeper you move into Vampire Hotel, the more the music becomes an exploration of identity, uncovering different sides of ourselves along the way. Following the success of “Vampire Hotel,” the sphere now expands with its next resident and checking into Room 11 is “Bunny Baby,” STARR’s carefree and uninhibited alter ego.
Bunny Baby represents the untamed version of ourselves that remains hidden away, the part that exists beneath restraint and convention. Commenting on the release, STARR shares, “Bunny Baby is the untamed version of ourselves we all keep hidden away, transforming deep-seated fears into absolute, unfiltered strength.”

Her arrival transforms the hotel once again, turning fear into something far more powerful via a dark, seductive and playfully dangerous sound. It introduces a nocturnal side of STARR, a transformation that arises after dark and melts the boundary between innocence and temptation. That transformation is reflected in the track itself, which brings together dark pop, alternative pop and synth pop, creating an intoxicating sound that matches the character’s seductive unpredictability.
STARR’s flirtatious vocals glide throughout while an infectious groove gives the song its steady momentum, resulting in a hypnotic soundscape that casts a gripping sonic spell. Opened by alluring vocalisations and pluck bass notes, the song flows with the snap of crisp percussion as pulsing instrumentation and twanging guitar tones swirl around her sultry vocal delivery. Brimming with instantly memorable melodic leads, the track rolls with expressive vocal performance and catchy songwriting wrapped up in a moody and mesmeric aesthetic.
Swelling into an engrossing surge of stacked instrumentation, the intricate ebb and flow of the arrangement makes for a truly transportive listening experience, taking listeners into the dark and brooding world of the Vampire Hotel. Within the seduction and danger, “Bunny Baby” continues the deeper concept that sees the hotel become a metaphorical space where contradictions are not something to resolve, but something to explore.
With each release, STARR adds another piece to the architecture of Vampire Hotel, expanding its characters, stories and emotional possibilities. For now, Room 11 belongs to Bunny Baby: carefree, uninhibited, seductive and fearless, but Vampire Hotel has plenty left to be unveiled and we can’t wait to see what’s lurking behind the next door.
