Up and coming, Romanian raised, now London based alt pop artist Larisa first fell in love with music when entering a talent show at her local high school. At 17 years old she entered “The Voice” of Romania and got through to the semi- finals which landed her a deal with a Bucharest based Label. She has dedicated her life to music ever since, writing hundreds of songs and improving her craft.
In order to expand her performance skills as well as her knowledge of the industry, she then completed an acting degree at the Academy of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography. In August 2019, shortly after graduating, she decided to move to London to freely explore her artistic personality and finally share her music with the world.
Her London journey started with the release of her debut single “For Tonight”, a chilled-pop song sprinkled with sexy, mysterious vibes. This first release made it possible for Larisa to express her visual ideas and employ her directing abilities by putting together a lo-fi music video to match the track.
With a mix of influences such as Madonna and FKA Twigs, Larisa is now willing to explore her ever-changing personality by finding unique lyrical and melodic angles to accompany her listeners through the though times but also give them a boost of confidence. Her music touches subjects such as passion, love, heartbreak and revival seen through the personal lens of the artist’s belief that all is temporary and that one must stay committed to their own journey and growth.
In April 2021 Larisa will be releasing her second single “Goodbye”, a song about letting go of the idea that a certain person is meant for you. With a dark, alt-pop sound, “Goodbye” creates a visual image of the artist in conversation with the ghosts of her past. It is inspired by her own experience and helped her be able to put an end to hunting thoughts and move on to brighter ones.
With a collection of new songs ready to be released after “Goodbye”, Larisa is now paving the way for her first EP, Temporary to be announced in the following months.
