Bridlington-based songwriter Becky Arundel has spent years developing her own sonic vision, building her musical identity through live performances, dedicated songwriting and a determination to turn her passion into something lasting. Beginning her journey in her early teens, she cut her teeth playing pubs and venues around Bridlington and Scarborough before taking her ambitions to London, where five years studying at BIMM London gave her the opportunity to sharpen her songwriting and immerse herself in the capital’s music scene.
Her musical journey has never been confined to simply writing songs behind closed doors; her early performances around the Yorkshire coast gave her experience on stage from a young age, setting the platform for the next chapter of her artistic adventure. Moving to London opened up further opportunities to explore her abilities and furing this period, she also performed at major festivals including Glastonbury, The Great Escape and 2000 Trees, building on the skills formed through her earlier gigs.
Alongside her studies and live appearances, she worked with acclaimed producer Jamie Sellers to record many of the songs she had written. The experience allowed her existing material to take shape in the recording studio, preserving the songwriting at the centre of her artistic ambitions. Her sound draws on a combination of country and pop influences, with Luke Combs, Adele and Amy Macdonald among the artists that have helped shape her musical voice. Powerful vocals, memorable hooks and a songwriting style that brings pop appeal together with hints of folk offers a blend that gives her music room to balance emotional expression with the catchy melodies that leave a lasting impression.

Now back in her East Yorkshire hometown, Becky is preparing to bring her music to a wider audience, with a new band behind her and the debut single titled “Silence” marking an important moment in her return. “Silence” distils the combination of powerful vocals and catchy songwriting that underpins Becky’s music, arriving as she renews her journey of performing and sharing her work. After spending time away from performing, she’s now ready to return to the stage, supported by a new group of bandmates and a new sense of artistic determination.
Opened by the soft swell of bubbling synth textures and airy vocalisations, the song slips into a soulful pop scene where Becky’s enticing voice rings out above the delicate arrangement, spinning alluring melodies carrying heartfelt lyrics. With the builds of muted drums and flicker of bright synths, the track surges into a driving alternative pop anthem packed full of soaring vocals, instantly memorable hooks and exhilarating instrumentation. With Becky belted out impassioned leads, her commanding vocals shine throughout, while her infectious songwriting results in a spectacular debut outing that firmly plants her on the map of must watch artists on the rise.
With experience gained in London, festival appearances behind her and songs ready to reach an audience, she enters this new chapter with an accomplished background built over time. “Silence” is the next opportunity to turn that groundwork into forward momentum and as she continues to share more of her utterly compelling studio sound, she’s sure to win over countless listeners around the world throughout the rest of 2026 and beyond.
