Thomas James White is an ambient and neo-classical multi-instrumental composer and producer based in Cardiff, UK. Working from his studio, nestled in the heart of Cardiff Bay, his work is written to inspire a sense of calm, majesty and peace to its listeners.
In addition to releasing his own artist material, Thomas works as a composer for Film, TV & music production libraries. Last year, he released his debut album The Deep Blue both digitally and on vinyl, following this with an EP of B-Sides in 2021.
Despite his foundations being in Ambient composition and production, Thomas’ work spans various genres, from post-rock and contemporary classical to Lo-Fi electronica and minimal house. The next chapter of Thomas’ music will be released as a string of monthly singles, from July to December 2021.
With one of his new compositions, he brings us the track “Adenydd” – meaning ‘Wings’ in Welsh. The piece is an ethereal track written to encapsulate a sense of wonder and discovery. Flowing between rich analog synth pads with rolling lo-fi drum beats to distant and spacious guitar parts and even a choir.
The track is about the wonder of Youth, the journey of Life and the miracles we witness every day – even if that’s just the love of a family member.
