Hailing from the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, electronic producer Rohne has spent recent years honing his craft while traveling the world with a laptop, headphones, and field recorder. The culmination of ideas and inspirations captured at his home studio, mobile set ups in India, and places in-between, now lead to the release of his upcoming work with the new album Forms.
His debut album, Meridian represented the blooming of a bond between Rohne, his art, and the world around him. Drawing influences from a wide range of genres, lush, organic and ethereal sounds, Rohne’s nuanced style of electronic music is an intimate and immersive experience of its own.
Now the artist returns to announce the release of his second album Forms out on October 1st, and shares the fifth and final single before the album “Flicker”. The new track is a mosaic of strong synth chords, droning soundscapes, pulsating synth notes, and off-beat drums. The powerful and expansive track lies somewhere between downtempo and techno with a sound of its own.
Commenting on the new release, the artist offers, “Somewhere along the way through writing the album, I got into the idea of music that can be played in both the club and at home. I feel I’ve got a long way to go to really capture this sound, but “Flicker” was my attempt towards this at the time.”
