Andreas Karperyd is the alderman of Swedish electronica/ambient/experimental scene and has been active since the mid 80s releasing under many aliases – such as Omala, Obconic, He Said Omala, Hox and now A.Karperyd – and creating music for stage/dance performances.
After releasing his highly praised second solo album GND this spring A.Karperyd felt the joy of making music and is already back with a new EP, set to be released via Swedish indie imprint Novoton. This time taking the more electronic route. The Entanglement EP is full of glitchy, beat-driven, ambient electronica with a lot of warmth which has become part of his trademark.
With the first single from the upcoming EP, titled “Properties of Entanglement” the veteran producer gives us the first taste of his new work. Blending elements of glitch, IDM and ambient sounds, he crafts an intriguing sonic palette, building a piece that’s as challenging as it is rewarding.
