DALT links with Ben Seltzer on new track

Philadelphia-based artist DALT draws from a wide array of influences to create his own blend of smooth Lo-fi R&B with a knack for catchy melodies and earworm hooks. As part of the 215Alive crew, he works closely with label mates Lil Xay and Little Bomb to make musical worlds collide.

The 22-year-old creates a uniquely varied and vibrant listening experience by fusing elements of pop, hip-hop/rap, and R&B. Just 8 months into his journey of writing music, he dropped is debut EP, Yesses Outta Maybes, to critical acclaim.

Now a proven songwriting and producing force, his insatiable drive and artistic ambition keeps him pushing limits and breaking boundaries. With excellent pop sensibilities and an exuberant energy on the microphone, none of DALT’s infectious tunes are likely to leave your head any time soon.

Now he brings us his new single with “Untitled”, a soulful jam that features a talented lineup of guests, including fellow Philly artist and longtime friend Ben Seltzer. Additional contributions are provided by musician brothers Xavier and Jared Smith, playing Electric piano and bass guitar respectively.

The hazy title-less track is DALT’s first self-produced release, and despite being a lead single, it lacks a name due to a genuine struggle to come up with one. The artist leaving it to listeners decide what the song should be called, with the new name being revealed upon the album’s release.

On “Untitled”, the two singers trade smooth verses over a multi-phased and flawlessly arranged instrumental mix that ends with a beautiful solo from Xavier Smith. Deliciously grooving, the track is a delight from start to finish and sure to make listeners head straight to the replay button.
