London-based artist Tom Saint blends noughties rock with modern hip hop influences to create his own blend of emotionally charged music. A relatively new artist, he began releasing his own signature brand of anthemic emo pop in Summer 2020, dropping a string of singles to a growing worldwide fanbase.
Originally hailing from Southampton, he was raised on a diet of pop punk, hardcore and southern hip hop before moving to London at 19 where he discovered synths, raves and the studio. These influences created the backdrop to his own songwriting that documents loss, sex and betrayal.
Working on his craft in the capital, he’s forged his trademark style of clacking beats, dark and driving instrumentation and commanding vocal delivery, all wrapped up in flawless production. Both catchy and introspective his music has been supported by tastemakers and received radio airplay both sides of the Atlantic.
Now the prolific new songsmith brings us his latest release with the single “All My Friends Are Enemies”, a soft boy singalong emo pop anthem and the first single from his upcoming debut EP Horny For Heartbreak set to drop in April.
Deep and brooding, “All My Friends Are Enemies” builds on his previous work of hook-driven neo-emo sound. A trap-esque beat punches through a menacing instrumental tapestry as the artist’s vocals ride above with melodic tenacity.
The release is paired with a remix from London club scene staple producer duo Atari & Precious, bringing their own high-octane take to the original track.
