Hailing from Skopje in North Macedonia, Yon Idy is a talented artist who offers an indie pop sound tinged with folk and blues influences. Growing up he had an audio diet of The Beatles and Leonard Cohen, instilling a sense of timeless songwriting craft in his own sound as well as being influenced by modern artists such as Muse.
In his teens, he first picked up a guitar and became passionate about music when he started to write his own songs. Constantly pushing himself to create beautifully written tunes that stick in your head, he strives to stretch his creative vision and develop his sound with each new release. An artist in demand, he’s been playing live several times a week, honing his skills on stage as he delights audiences with his performances.
Following the successful and well-received release of his last single “My Fire”, and ahead of releasing his debut album, he now brings us his latest work with the track “In Time”. With his gentle vocal lines he paints a melancholic scene as his intricate folk instrumentation arrangement carries the tune with soft energy.
Simple, yet elegantly framed, the new single sees Yon Idy deliver his well-rounded composition and performance abilities on a song that’s both meaningful and delicately catchy.
