Milan-based singer-songwriter and composer Rayka Blake makes music armed with her electric guitar and powerful voice. Channeling a classic rock sound, she offers a gritty alternative rock sound full of catchy melodic lines and soaring vocal work.
Drawing influence from the best of American and UK pop, rock, blues and soul, she crafts a modern sound that nods to her inspirations from the past. With her introduction as an artist she brings us her debut single “Nevermore”. Released via the Milan imprint Top Records Label, the track was produced by Pietro Foresti.
A punchy rock outing, with “Nevermore” Rayka Blake delivers a storming rebellious anthem that takes aim at all kinds of physical and psychological violence. A strong rock sound lays the soundtrack for those who are downtrodden and acts as a call to action to find the strength and courage to rebel and build a better future.
Commenting on the new song, she shares, “I wrote it with the intention of conveying an important message: stop the violence, make your voice heard, and rebel against those who make you vulnerable. It’s a cry of hope for those who are suffering.”
With an EP in the works that’s set to drop soon, she’s confirmed herself as an artist to watch this year and beyond, you can catch up with her on her Instagram for more.
