Hailing from the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Blake Dagley has been developing his folk rock sound over the last 15 years. Having struggled with anxiety his whole life, he’s found new purpose with his music and has recently begun a journey of self-discovery. An artist that writes straight from the heart, he’s passionate about sharing the hope he’s found through music.
He’s been singing and performing since 1997 and has spent the last nine years as a member of the 9th St Band. Now he brings us his debut EP as a solo artist, transporting listeners to Tennessee with The Nashville Sessions.
Working with producer Dean Miller at Sound Emporium Studios & OMNIsound Studios in Nashville, Blake Dagley offers three powerfully emotive tracks of soulful Americana that tug at the heartstrings. Reflecting on the previous years that have been so tumultuous and emotional for everyone around the world, he channels the emotions he’s experienced into the writing of the release.
Perfectly produced to capture his smooth and melodic vocal work, with the tracks “Ain’t Going Down Like This”, “Paradox”, and “Milly” the artist delivers a thoughtful sound wrapped up in hopeful tones. Bending from uplifting energy from the opener, to more melancholic notes as the music progresses, with The Nashville Sessions Blake Dagley demonstrates his exceptional musical experience on a worthy debut EP.
